Privacy & Cookies
What we do with your details when you ask us for a quote, what this website measures, and how to change your mind about it.
Who we are
This site belongs to Zadeking Music Equipment Rental, a sound system hire business operating in Southampton and across Hampshire. We are the data controller for anything you send us through it.
To ask about your information, or to have it removed, email [email protected], or call or send a WhatsApp to 07823 581 392.
What we collect, and why
When you fill in the quote form we collect your name, and whichever of your email address and phone number you give us, along with what you told us about your event: the date, the venue or address, and what you need.
We use it for one thing, which is to get back to you with a price and sort the booking out. We do not sell it, and we do not add you to a mailing list off the back of a quote request.
The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. Where we later need to keep records of an actual hire, that is our legitimate interest in running the business and meeting our tax obligations.
How long we keep it
Quote requests that do not turn into a booking are kept for up to 12 months, so we still have the thread if you come back to us. Records relating to a completed hire are kept for six years, which is what HMRC requires.
Who else sees it
Our website and quote form are built and hosted by OneTapWeb, who process quote requests on our behalf and are bound to use them only for that.
If you accept analytics cookies, Google also receives usage data about your visit, as described below. Beyond that we do not share your details with anyone unless the law requires it.
Cookies this site uses
Nothing that identifies you is stored until you accept it. When you first arrive, analytics and advertising cookies are switched off, and they stay off unless you press Accept on the banner.
If you accept: Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager set cookies that tell us how many people visited, which pages they read, and which pages led to someone getting in touch. If we are running Google Ads at the time, the same cookies tell us which advert brought you here. We see totals and patterns, not individuals.
If you decline: those cookies are never set. Google still receives an anonymous, cookieless signal that a visit happened, which cannot be tied back to you or to any other visit you make.
Either way: we use Umami for basic visitor counts. It sets no cookies, collects no personal data and cannot follow you across websites, so it runs without needing your permission. We also store your cookie choice itself in your browser, purely so the banner stops asking.
Calls and WhatsApp messages
If you call or message us on WhatsApp, your number and the conversation sit on the business phone in the normal way. WhatsApp messages are also handled by WhatsApp under their own privacy terms, which we have no control over.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also object to how we are using it, or ask us to restrict it. Email [email protected] or call, and we will deal with it, normally within a month and at no cost.
If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this page
If we change how any of this works we will update this page. Last updated 5 August 2026.
