Wedding Sound System Hire in Hampshire

One system that has to do four completely different jobs in a single day. We set it up once, then move with the day, so nobody in your wedding party has to think about the sound again.

Wireless microphone set up for wedding speeches

A wedding, hour by hour

This is the shape of most of the weddings we do. Yours will differ, and we'll build the plan around it on the call.

2 hours before guests

We arrive and set up

Speakers positioned, cables run and taped down, everything tested while the room is still empty. We'd rather be sitting waiting than still working when the first car pulls up.

The ceremony

Vows, readings and the walk in

Two speakers, set quietly, plus microphones for the vows and readings so the back row hears them properly. Your entrance and exit music cued and ready. If you're having live piano or acoustic guitar, this is usually where it goes.

Drinks and photographs

Background music, conversation level

The system moves to wherever the drinks are, indoors or on the lawn, and sits at a level people can talk over. Loud enough that the room doesn't feel flat, quiet enough that nobody has to raise their voice.

The speeches

The twenty minutes that matter most

A handheld microphone and a spare already switched on, levels set for a full room rather than an empty one, and somebody who knows the desk standing close by. This is the part of the day that most often goes wrong and the part your guests will remember, so we treat it accordingly.

The first dance

Background becomes a full PA

The switch from dinner music to a proper system. Subwoofer on, levels up, the room changes character in one song. We check the track with you beforehand so there are no surprises about where it fades.

The evening

Band, DJ or playlist

Whatever you have booked, plugged in and mixed. If you have a band we'll sort monitors so they can hear themselves. If you want an engineer on the desk all night rather than a system left running, we can do that too.

After the last song

A quiet pack down

We strike the rig without turning your goodbyes into a load-out. If your venue needs the room cleared the same night, we'll do it. If they're happy for a morning collection, that's easier for everyone.

What a wedding package includes

Every wedding is quoted individually, because a marquee for two hundred and a village hall for fifty need very different things. What stays the same is that the price covers the whole day rather than a list of items.

Included as standard

  • Delivery, setup and collection, with everything tested before guests arrive
  • Speakers sized to your room, indoors or out, with a subwoofer for the evening
  • Microphones for the ceremony and the speeches, including a spare that's already live
  • A mixing desk set for the room rather than left at the factory settings
  • Music playback from your own playlist, phone or laptop
  • Cables run and taped down, because a wedding dress and a loose cable don't mix
  • Optional sound engineer on the desk for the whole evening
  • Optional live piano or acoustic guitar for the ceremony or drinks reception

What couples ask us

Can one system cover the ceremony and the evening reception?

Usually yes, and it's normally the cheaper way to do it. The ceremony needs very little: two speakers and a couple of microphones, set quietly. The evening needs the lot. We bring one rig that does both and reconfigure it during the afternoon, rather than charging you for two setups. Where it doesn't work is when the ceremony and the reception are in different buildings a drive apart, in which case tell us and we'll price it properly.

Our speeches always go wrong at weddings. What do you do differently?

We treat the speeches as the most important twenty minutes of the day, because they're the part guests remember and the part that most often fails. That means a handheld microphone plus a spare that's already switched on, levels set for a room full of people rather than an empty one, and somebody who knows the system standing nearby. It's not complicated. It's just usually nobody's job.

Do you provide live music as well as the equipment?

Yes. Alongside the sound system we offer live piano and acoustic guitar, which suits a ceremony, a drinks reception or a quieter part of the evening. Tell us which part of the day you're thinking about and we'll let you know what works.

How long before the wedding should we book?

As early as you can for a Saturday between May and September, because those dates go first. Outside peak season a few weeks is often enough. Either way it costs nothing to ask, and we'd rather tell you we're free than have you assume we aren't.
